LOCATION

AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND

Auckland is New Zealand’s largest city located in the top half of New Zealand’s North Island with access to three harbours. Its proximity to – and love of - the sea has earned it the moniker of City of Sails. It is the gateway to New Zealand with spectacular views and breathtaking scenery. Nestled between two harbours, Auckland is New Zealand's largest city, brimming with cultural excitement, sea-flavoured challenges and attractions and activities of all kinds. Auckland tourism is alive and well with the region being a popular tourist area. Auckland City boasts world-class shopping, restaurants, 5-star accommodation, wine bars and night clubs, art galleries and cafes. The surrounding Auckland region features vineyards, stunning beaches, pristine rainforest, wildlife encounters, island adventures and endless water activities.

Things to do in Auckland are endless and range from the extreme adventure activity, to a fine wine tasting at one of Auckland's North West vineyards, to a leisurely day of shopping at one of Auckland's many world class shopping malls. For lovers of the extreme, you can base jump off the Sky Tower attached only by a wire, bungy jump off the Auckland Harbour Bridge, dive the famous Goat Island Marine Reserve, or even swim with sharks.
Families can enjoy the rides at Rainbow's End, experience the marine and sea life at Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium, be amazed by hundreds of beautiful butterflies at Butterfly Creek, or visit the lush parkland of Auckland Zoo. Take a short ferry trip to the volcanic Rangitoto Island - join a tour, or hike to the summit yourself. Great Barrier Island is a beautiful untouched paradise, also just a short ferry trip from Auckland. The Auckland Sky Tower is the tallest man-made structure in New Zealand, offering stunning views, a 360-degree revolving restaurant, and for the adults, the SKYCITY Auckland Casino offers gaming entertainment
